Friday Evening Tastings, 5 - 7pm

The first and third Friday evening of every month, we cook up something a little special with themed flights. The themes will vary along with the price, but we’ll always aim to make it interesting.

 Special Sit-Down Tastings, 6 - 8pm

When the opportunity arises to do a deep dive on a particular region, style, or producer, we will host a special guest speaker for a formal sit-down educational tasting. These are ticketed tastings and will be announced as they are planned.

Upcoming Tastings:

Friday, May 3rd: Cremant de…
In preparation for Mother’s Day, we’re serving up a splash of Champ- Hold on, Cremant. Champagne is an icon, but did you know that the technical name for the wine is Cremant de Champagne, and it is but one of Seventeen officially declared Cremant appellation in France. For Friday evening in May, we will have seven different Cremants from everywhere in France but Champagne.

Saturday, May the 4th be with you, 12-4PM: Newsletter Wines From a Galaxy Far, Far Away
Today, we’re tasting Newsletter wines on the wild side. This set will be wines of the less familiar sort: grapes we had to look up in the catalog from places we had to find on a map. The only sure bet is the wines will be delicious.

Saturday, May 11th, 12-2PM: Mario Bagella for the Saturday Afternoon, Plus, Newsletter Selections from the Innovators
Mario Bagella’s Sardinian wines speak loudly of their origin, the tiny seaside Sorso district in the northwest corner of the island. Just in case we didn’t hear, Mario himself will be in the shop Saturday afternoon to pour a selection of his Vermentino, Cannonau, and beyond.

At Table Two, from 12-4PM we will have wines from familiar places made in a new way. Winemakers taking a second look at their vines.

Domaine Castera Jurançon Sec
Domaine Berthenet Bourgogne Aligote
Fongoli Umbria Rosso Rossofongoli
Olivier Rivière Rioja Rayos Uva

Friday, May 17th, 5-7PM: Anything But Pinot
We’re tasting a range of Oregon wines that aren’t Pinot Noir, from the Willamette Valley, the Gorge, and Southern Oregon. Our Pinot Noirs are justifiably famous, but there’s a lot to love about the other stuff. Oregon’s Willamette Valley alone is larger than all of Languedoc, and there’s a lot going on beyond Pinot noir.

Saturday, May 18th, 12-3PM: Statera at the Winemaker’s Barrel
Luke Wylde and Meredith Bell are winemakers who believe in Chardonnay. Statera is the product of their belief that this grape has only begun to tap its potential in Oregon. They source from some of the very best sites in the Willamette Valley and turn the volume all the way up in the cellar to make wines both intense and well defined. Come on in and taste the contrast between vineyards, vintages, and styles as Luke tells stories from the cellar.

Statera Elkton Remix Vol.1 A blend of Chardonnay and Melon
Statera Johan Vineyard Chardonnay
Statera Unicus Chardonnay Royer Vineyard
Statera Multa IV Johan Vineyard Solera Style

Wednesday, May 22nd, 5-7PM: Chehalem Mountains Open House Tasting
For Oregon Wine Month, we’ve invited a set of Oregon wineries from the Chehalem Mountains to taste their wares and tell their stories. We will have Compris, Flaneur and Bergstrom on hand to pour samples and talk about their mountain.

Saturday, May 25th, 12-4PM: Newsletter Selections of a Classic Sort
This Saturday, we’re tasting newsletter wines that exemplify more familiar regions. You’ve had these sorts of wines before, but the classics are classic for a reason.
