Albamar is a shortening of the phrase Alba do Mar, or "Close to the sea". The estate lies less than a mile from the beach in the heart of the Rias Baixas appellation, and a strong gust of salty sea breeze comes through on the nose, the palate, and lingers on the finish. There's also plenty of peach, tangarine, and orange fruit wrapped around this taut strung beam of acidity. Rich yet lively, the Albamar Albarino will stretch your imagination for food pairing, as it will go with almost anything other than red meat, but we do recommend a classic seafood paella.
