The seventh edition of Cameron's L&E Blanc is a single barrel selection. Sometimes barrels are best blended together, as elements from one barrel might bridge the gaps in another and create a whole greater than the sum of its parts. In the case of barrel G74, a mostly Chardonnay barrel from the Clos Electrique Vineyard, there was simply no way to improve the wine inside. This show stopping 2021 Le Blanc has that vivid acidity we're always looking for, with aromas of key lime pie, green mango, tangerine, honeysuckle, and white pepper. Full of energy on the palate, the wine has a lightly creamy texture with orange and lemon curd fruit, fresh herbs, and a clean, crisp finish. As delicious as this wine is even in barrel, it has a bright future ahead if you keep some for the cellar.
