Alex's Eola Amity cuvée is a blend of two vineyards, primarily on the classic Willamette Jory soil. It's a perfect summation of the vintage, intense but neatly poised, with excellent balance between fruit and earth and oak - 40% new - all the way through. The nose offers black cherry and rhubarb, brick dust earth and orange oil. The palate is beautifully silky and feels fuller bodied than it is because of the intense flavors of cherry and blood orange that finishes with hints of baking spice and underbrush.
