This red from the hills above Pinerolo is an organically grown blend of native Piedmont grapes, some well known and some obscure; There's Barbera, Freisa, Bonarda, Chatus, and Neretta Cuneese in here. Whatever their names, the grapes combine into an utterly delicious wine that offers soaring red and black berry fruits and rich earthy notes. It's a joy to drink alongside hearty stews, but a Charcuterie board is equally appropriate.
