This relatively delicate Qvevri wine hails from the Black Sea coastal region of Guria in far southwestern Georgia. The Chkhaveri grape is the most cherished variety, one that Iberieli was instrumental in reviving after the Soviet era. This grape can produce a profoundly aromatic rose if the skins are left on during maturation in Qvevri, but this edition comes without the skins, yielding a fresh yet savory white.
