Chateau de Mauny has been operated by the Brault family since the 1700s, a wide swath of vineyards in Anjou. Among the many wines they make, their pride and joy is this Cremant, a blend of Chenin Blanc with 20% addition of Chardonnay. This is the soul of the Loire, with bright peach, apple, and white flower aromas and just a hint of smoky flint soil. The palate has a nice balance of weight and finesse, with delicate bubbles carrying peach and tangerine flavors and savory herbs that linger on the finish.
