Violeta Gutierrez de la Vega and Alberto Redrado are a couple of Spain's rising stars of the wine industry, with Family vineyards and restaurants to their name. With Curii, they've teamed up to produce tiny amounts of Garnacha from tiny, nearly forgotten plots of old vines in Alicante. In a region where the name of the game is to make as much wine as cheaply as possible, Violeta and Alberto look for elegant, temperate wines that tell an very different story of a grape we thought we already knew.
