It's rare that we get to offer northern Rhone valley wine that's really ready to drink. So often, we talk about potential wound tight inside the Syrah, about waves of picket fence tannins that need time to integrate and flavors that will bloom over the course of ten years.
Well here, in the Domaine de Bonserine Cote Rotie, we've got a wine that has already done its aging. The 2013 vintage was a precocious year, and this wine is now ready to enjoy. Peppered Bacon, cedar smoke, raspberry fruit leather, lavender, sage, fennel, and gravelly earth come out on the aroma, while the palate shows notes of smoky soil, raspberry, cranberry, iron ore soil, bloody, orange peel. Lingering note of date and fig with spice. Ready for all your upcoming special events.
