Feteascā Regalā is one of Romania's most prestigious varieties, found throughout the country - though its heartland is in the mountainous part of eastern Transylvania in Mureş county. It is also found in Hungary by the name Kiralyleanyka. Both names mean Princess, and the "noble" variety offers rich aromas of citrus, peach, pear, and salty minerality.
