A stunning Pinot Noir from Sancerre. A Multi-vintage blend kept in a Solera, a vanishingly rare system for making Sancerre, but the results of this wine make us think this should be more common. Stunningly elegant, crystal clear, yet profound. The finish lingers on almost indefinitely, leaving behind a field of wild strawberries and dusty white soil on the palate. Perfect is a surprisingly vague descriptor, but that's the word that keeps coming back to me with this one.
