Fleurie, as the name somehow implies, is where Beaujolais' friendliest wine comes from. Beautiful, supple red fruit with a gardenia bouquet of flowers. Christophe Pacalet's masterful work in the vineyard and winery brings out all the pure joy in this wine, something for chicken dishes in the sunshine. Quietly, this is usually a natural wine, though Christophe doesn't make it a point of emphasis in case he needs to intervene during a harsh vintage.
