This single vineyard Pinot Noir has the precocious character that defines Oregon's 2021 vintage, boiling out of the glass with aromas of Maraschino Cherry, black raspberry, orange peel, tamari, five spice, graham cracker, dried clay and organic earth. In terms of texture, the wine has great tension and elegant structure; velvety tannins and and bright acidity giving notes of crunchy fresh cherries, oranges and rose petals, with an undercurrent of iron rich soil underbrush, and dried sage carried through the finish. Owing to the nature of the vintage, this wine will please a crowd while young, but if you can save any for a few years or ten there will be rewards waiting. Crowley wines are always built to last.
