Diego Curtaz farms about 1.5 hectares of vineyard in the alpine region of Aoste. This Torrette is as traditional as it gets, a blend of 80% Petit Rouge, with 20% other local varieties - Cornalin, Fumin, Mayolet, Vien de Nus, Gamay etc. Spontaneous fermentation. Aged in old botti for 8-9 months before bottling. Minimal added sulfur and no filtering or fining. As so often with Vallee d'Aoste wines, this one has delicate texture combined with powerful flavors of berries and earth.
