Tenuta Santa Maria di Gaetano Bertani is a very long name, but the key word is Bertani. In one of those classic tales of siblings disagreeing over how to run the family business, this is the half of the Bertani family that ended up with the vineyards. Their Amarone comes from some of the best sites in Valpolicella. Unusually for Amarone, this is spicy and elegant for Amarone.
